Shelby had her first real dentist appointment on 10/18/12. She's had her teeth checked before and her pediatrician has put fluoride treatment on her teeth before but not a full appointment.
At 3 1/2 years old it was time for a real appointment. So I took her to a children's dentist.
They said that at her age they usually do an exam bit don't get much further. Shelby was so brave and sat still for an exam, a full cleaning AND X-rays! Everyone was so impressed! She did a great job!!!
Her teeth looked great too; no cavities! There was a few spots in the back that we need to brush better and start flossing but all in all very good.
One of the ways we kept her still was to tell her that if she let the lady clean her teeth they would be like princess teeth. :)
So proud of my girl!
This blog is my outlet to express anything and everything. Welcome to my wacky world!

Thrift shopping, the beach....
The morning started off with the munchkin making her way to our bedroom this morning and falling asleep on the ground next to our bed. What a cutie pie!
Today we decided to explore west Seattle because we haven't spend a lot of time there.
I've included a few pics of west Seattle taken from a view point.
First, we went Alki beach. It was cold, 50, and windy so we didn't stay long but we can't wait to go back in the summer!
Next, we walked around some shops and wound up looking in bookstores for Landmark books. Jason collects them; he found three. There's 2 pics of Shelby with a stuffed tiger and lion. These were taken at a bookstore in the children's section. I loved looking thru the antique, consignment and thrift shops. Check out the gorgeous nightgown I found! It's so Mad Men! I should wear it with curlers in my hair and a cigaret! Hehehe! :D I also found this adorable, little rolling pin for Shelby to play playdough with. I also found a Pampered Chef stoneware bunt pan that retails for $35 plus tax and shipping for $5! Sweet deal!
Then the weather turned a little dreary so we headed into Northgate Mall. I shopped for some winter boots and while I was looking Shelby had quite a lot of fun trying on high heels! When we lived in La Vernia Shelby use to love raiding Dulce's closed and putting on her highest, most glamorous heels. :)

Gone Craft Crazy!
This past weekend my church hosted their very first Scrapbooking/Cardmaking Weekend.
A friend, Kristina is really into cardmaking and after letting me use all her awesome tools like punches, stamps etc... I may be addicted! Here's some pics of things I made. Cards, MOPS scrapbook, and washer necklaces.
It was fun learning new things and chatting with some great ladies!

Corn Maze
Tonight we went to Foster Farms in Arlington with some friends (Kris, Adrien, Rick, Kelli and kids).
Although I was not excited about the porta potties or "Honey Buckets" here in WA I as excited for the maze. It was my first time in one and Shelby's too!
First we walked thru their little hop and let munchkin pick out a little pumpkin. They were 50 cents. I gave her the quarters then let her pick out her pumpkin and pay the lady by herself.
Then off to the maze we went armed with maps and flashlights! We had to hunt for clues to solve a puzzle. About half way thru it started to rain. Before we knew it our shoes were caked and the maze was slippery. We called it quits.
Wet and muddy but lot of fun!
Shelby was a trooper. She had her own map and was very diligent about "writing" down each clue. Really she would just scribble :)
Now time to do dishes and head to bed!

Church Craft Weekend
Today was the start of a 2 day church craft weekend. I was kind of stressed about my projects because I'm not a crafty person and I have a hard time envisioning how a project will turn out or look. Nevertheless I have a list of projects and so far so good. Today I made 12 cards, 4 recipe cards, and a ton of washer necklaces.
Sweet Shelby was with me for a while until Jason got off work. She was using scissors and cutting up my scraps and the drawing on them. Then she fold them every which way and pass then out to the ladies. She was adorable! She's such a sweetheart! I adore her little personality! She makes me heart melt. :)

Jesus lives at Sunday School
That's what she told me while we were working on her AWANA verse and talking about Jesus. :)
